What a fantastic evening at Bridgeport Records! GBSL Chamber members enjoyed a Chicago music history lesson unlike any other while hearing firsthand from owner Jerry Morrison about the vision behind one of Bridgeport’s most unique businesses.
More than just a retail store, Bridgeport Records has become a physical hub for music culture, helping fuel the vibrancy of the Halsted Street Entertainment Corridor. Jerry shared insights into the growing audience discovering Bridgeport, how the business has remained relevant in a changing marketplace, and lessons other local businesses could apply to grow and thrive.
Attendees also had the opportunity to browse Bridgeport Records’ extensive vinyl collection, while experiencing a unique musical atmosphere that has made the store a destination for music lovers, industry professionals, artists, and an occasional celeb here and there. 😊
